Stamina Is Catching Up - Day 5

This workout was pretty good. In the first 10 minutes (of 30), I hardly felt like I had even started. I thought to myself 'am I missing something?' I guess my muscles and stamina are improving each day!

Because of all this, I gave myself 4 stars.

I'm still not a fan of Froggers or Split Jumps. I'd rather do squats and lunges. But I guess the former are good cardio. Can't leave out the cardio.

Also enjoyed the last 2 minutes out of nostalgia: Child's Pose. I'm definitely missing [hot] yoga these days. Gotta sign up again soon.

Time for dinner. Bon apetit!

ichibum day 4. Check.

Burpee challenge. 15. Check

Vball tonight done too.

I'm tired. Shouldn't have went out to eat after Vball

Couldn't resist fooooood. :(

Inspired - Day 4

Just finished a workout that Hope Solo does, so I felt like a professional soccer player/goalkeeper tonight. Toe kicks with the medicine ball were good cardio!

Here's a little wiki on this American soccer pro:

I did manage to play soccer for Junior Girls in high school back in the day. So this was not a foreign effort for me.

I rated tonight's workout at 3. I realized my form was lacking when I was on my last set of "Quick Feet in Place" and "Side Crunches to Burpees." By the time I figured it out, I realized where the burn was supposed to be. At least I've figured it out for next time. Also, this workout was only 15 minutes, so I should have powered though it.

I also learned a new exercise that they call "Suitcases." The concept was simple but my body didn't agree with it. My lower back kept coming up off the ground. So maybe I have to work on stronger core or something.

Ciao for now!

ichibum day 3/4. 75% check

Pump up Track: Pon De Replay - Rihanna

March 2// Yesterday I had to watch the shop all day by myself, then moved stuff from the downtown shop at night. I was hella tired and knew I would not be able to complete my work out for the day. I had enough foresight to complete the March challenge before the shop opened in the morning. Thank goodness

Squat challenge. 10. Check
Burpees challenge. 10. Check.

The burpee challenge was more challenging than i thought it would be! And also I was telling Dani-wok, my right bum cheek is more sore than my left one! Must double check my form as I don't want a lop-sided bum :(

So I didn't get to put in my cardio yet for the day. Therefore I decided to make up for it the next day.

March 3 // so I decided to dedicate me lunch break at work to do stairs.

5 floors, 2 staircases per floor for 25 mins. Only managed 4 up and downs.

Complete

Squats (in the ghetto staircase). 15. Check.

I also have Vball tonight, so my quota for the day should be good except for the burpee challenge. I shall post later tonight to ensure I do it.

Now I'm all sweaty and back to work. Hope I don't stink too much. Thank goodness for deodorant. :)

Motivation - Day 3

126 Days till D-Day.

Today's workout was successful in terms of completion. Completed the 30 minutes and it was tough! It was a mix of cardio and light weights. Still trying to work on proper form and getting stamina running longer. But I rated it 4 stars for getting through it.

I'm trying to think of another extracurricular activity to take up before winter ends. I like Ichibum's daily goal-setting.💡

Dani-Wo[r]k[out] (Day 2)

A better workout tonight!

I did the Fighter Fit workout. I lasted 26 out of 30 minutes. Truly could not keep going as I started getting stomach pains. So I'm drinking lots of water now.

I also took a video of myself and saw how horrendous my form was. And I'm just round in all the worst places. To make light of the situation, I have a shot my dog trying to interrupt (as usual).

As I did burpees tonight, I imagined failing at an obstacle at the race. I realized it could take longer to do 30 burpees than to just try out the obstacle.

So the main idea is: don't give up!

ichibum day 2. Check.

Building on this momentum inside of me, decided to work out Saturday morning. Woke already to go to the gym then looked at the weather, -34. Ok then, working out at home with Shaun T and t-25. My glutes were a little sore but not too bad but during the work out, I felt a little better than yesterday. Completed it but I wanted to add and set a personal challenge for myself.

Squat challenge: 5 squats a day and gradually add 5 more the next day and so forth.

Burpees challenge: 5 a day, then gradually add 5 more the next day and so forth.

This personal challenge for me is for a month. So March 1, 2014 is the beginning.

Squat challenge: check.
Burpees challenge: check.

Also did some crunches and attempted chin up and popped my shoulder. :(

My heart rate monitor still does not work, I'll have to call them on Monday and see wtf is up.

Post work out/breakfast:

While training, I'm also trying to eat healthy. I love food too much to keep a strict diet but I'll do it when I can.

2 Egg, multigrain bread, 1/2 avacado, mango, green apple slices, orange juice and a splash of soy sauce. That's kinda healthy right?? Haha

Ok. What's in store for me tmr?
