The BF wants to do WHAT?!?!
Yesterday, the BF picked me up and was excitingly talking about a documentary he just watched called "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead". The jist of it was that the documentee chronicled his discovery of juicing and having a diet consisting primarily of fruits and vegetables and that human's didn't need to have mass amounts of protein to survive.
So has he was driving, he looked over to me when we were parked, dead in the eye and says "let's do this."
Me: "what? you mean "you" right?"
BF: "no, US! It would be good for us to try it out"
Me: "I need my meat and carbs! I will diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie"
BF:"you won't die, that's what all the people in the documentary said they couldn't do it either and that they won't have energy. Just think outside the norm"
Me: "..........let me think about this"
So we began to debate about the pros and cons - me, more on the cons of no protein and delicious carbs and my selfish desire to devour every delectable thing on earth.
BF: "how about we do it for 2 weeks?"
Me: "Just 2 weeks?... starting now??"
BF:"Let's do it after you get back from LA, it'll give you a week to eat what you want in LA, then come back to do it seriously for 2 weeks"
Me: "..........ok.... Just 2 weeks though"
BF: "yes!! sure... just 2 weeks... or we can do it a couple of times a week"
Me: "don't push your luck babe.."
So that's what I am committed to after I get back from LA, August 10, 2016. I did tell him that I have to cheat one evening due to my Grandpa's Bday dinner (usually chinese restaurant), so Aug 10 to Aug 23 is when I start my hippie vegetarian diet. Oh lawwwd, what did I get myself into..

10 day mini challenge - Day 2
Tuesday July 25, 2016 12:49pm
Tried to wake up at 5am today, I could not get my zombie like body out of bed... I'm going to try "The Rock Alarm" (http://projectrockofficial.com) and see if that works.
Lunch: Tuna, salad, wonton soup
Going to insanity class (finally!) with Ho Train tonight. Haven't done it in foreverrrrrrr. Here's not to puking!
Update:
Went to insanity and almost died. Cardio is not my friend, no matter how much I try to be your friend. 50 minutes non stop of jumping jacks, push ups, etc. Ho Train made it look so easy . Damn that cross fit training!
Also went for oysters and then we ended up going for tacos after. ughhhh.. double time work out tomorrow.

Monday July 25:16 2:49pm
Ok. 10 days, active gym time everyday every day until I leave for LA. Eat good at lunch and gym time. Doable right? (Long weekend filled with food, festivals etc) wish me luck...
Lunch today:
Tuna sandwich and salad
What are you training for? I'm training for LIFE m*therf**ker!
Update: instead of going to the gym, opted to walk with Tree after closing up shop for an hour to catch Pokemon. Trying to get her active too and the only way is to persuade her with Pokemon haha

ichibum day 7. Paying for day 6.
Pump up track:
Forced myself to do stairs on my lunch break. Trying to make for yesterday's set back haha I'm getting better at it, I can continuously jog up 5 flights of stairs no break. I need to do this at least 3-4 times a week. I hear the inclines in Spartan are challenging. But after finishing mud hero, I think I'm more prepared this time. My sister made me a healthy quinoa chicken salad. Love ya tree! :)
After working in the office, went to the shop and almost didn't go to the gym. Forced myself to "push it" after hearing this song on songza and was in beast mode. And my heart monitor started working again! I do have a heart! <3
Elliptical interval training, some weights and box jumps.
Home time! And good luck to dani-wok on your lent! Very admirable sacrifice for the 40 days :) and yay! I get to see dani-wok tmr for lunch! ^^

ichibum day 2. Check.
Building on this momentum inside of me, decided to work out Saturday morning. Woke already to go to the gym then looked at the weather, -34. Ok then, working out at home with Shaun T and t-25. My glutes were a little sore but not too bad but during the work out, I felt a little better than yesterday. Completed it but I wanted to add and set a personal challenge for myself.
Squat challenge: 5 squats a day and gradually add 5 more the next day and so forth.
Burpees challenge: 5 a day, then gradually add 5 more the next day and so forth.
This personal challenge for me is for a month. So March 1, 2014 is the beginning.
Squat challenge: check.
Burpees challenge: check.
Also did some crunches and attempted chin up and popped my shoulder. :(
My heart rate monitor still does not work, I'll have to call them on Monday and see wtf is up.
