ichibum day 10. Not good.
Sunday was a write off :( worked all day and ate bun bo hue. Today I played Vball and sucked badly at it. Tmr will be better, I promise. I'm doing stairs at work tmr so I feel better haha and Vball in the evening. Time goes by too fast!!

Sweat - Day 10
This weekend (plus today) were major cheat days. Ate large portions and inhaled treats like crazy.
I attempted to do a 45-minute workout but only lasted 33 minutes. I gave myself 3 stars because I could feel my muscles doing a good workout, but my cardio lacks stamina. My cardio sets would last less than half the 30 or 60 seconds.

Modified - Day 9
Took my first iron pill today. It was honestly hard to stomach. For some reason I could taste the iron and I realized then I knew what it was like to be a vampire. I will chase it down with a lot of water and Vitamin C to water it down tomorrow morning.
It was a good day hanging out with my mom on her birthday. Then dinner with the family and siblings' significant others. We ended the night with some Double Double ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery which is eventually closing down all over Canada. It's good to savor all that must eventually come to an end.
I put together a short modified workout of lunges/step-back and side lunges, squats, [fake] jump rope, modified push-ups/triceps, Russian twists, bicycles, quick feet in place and lying quad stretches. In all, it probably added up to about 15 mins. I'll give myself 3 stars for putting effort in considering I was doing this in my sister's bedroom with small interruptions. I didn't have weights or a medicine ball either, but now I feel good for getting my heart rate up even if it was just for a short period of time. Back to routine tomorrow evening...!

ichibum day 8-9. Snow bunnies (belated post)

I was so exhausted last night I was in mid posting then fell asleep. Haha yesterday was good! I got to see dani-wok twice in a day, went snowboarding at the local hill and hot pot. Good times every time we hang out :) Some punk clipped me and I tweaked my back a little, but it was good, used my leg muscles like a mofo. Now I want to go to the mountains!!
Squat challenge 35 and 40. Check.
Burpee challenge : failed. Too much for me, I will still do burpees but more like 10 a day.
Woke up this morning and pushed to the gym, could only fit in 35 mins cardio and some ab work out before I opened the shop. But other than that, work out completed!
Also, watching this episode of fresh prince gets me all the time. I wasn't crying on the treadmill, that's just sweat in my eyes...
And dani-wok, I don't party all the time. More like every other weekend haha but I've lessened on the drinking. Drinking = unnecessary carbs. H20 ftw. So does that mean if you drink those pills, you can party with me now?!?! ;)
Going to eat some Italian food tonight. = carbs. Sigh. Let's try to make some healthy choices eating out.

Skiing - Day 8
Had a good time in the city slopes with Ichibum tonight.
Managed to get in just over 1.5 hours of skiing and was thankful for my tricep exercises last night so that I wasn't as sore maneuvering around with the ski poles. If I could rate tonight's workout, I'd give it a 5 for outdoors, speed, form/strength, weather and friends/fun.
And the hot pot afterwards. So good!
Earlier today, I went to the doctor and found out I am iron deficient. So not only do I now know why I'm always so sleepy, but I guess I can't use "old age" as a major excuse for why I don't feel compelled to party into the morning light (like somebody I know---Ichibum). Even my dog sleeps less than I do. So that will be a new factor in how I take care of myself as we journey forward to this spartan race!

ichibum day 7. Paying for day 6.
Pump up track:
Forced myself to do stairs on my lunch break. Trying to make for yesterday's set back haha I'm getting better at it, I can continuously jog up 5 flights of stairs no break. I need to do this at least 3-4 times a week. I hear the inclines in Spartan are challenging. But after finishing mud hero, I think I'm more prepared this time. My sister made me a healthy quinoa chicken salad. Love ya tree! :)
After working in the office, went to the shop and almost didn't go to the gym. Forced myself to "push it" after hearing this song on songza and was in beast mode. And my heart monitor started working again! I do have a heart! <3
Elliptical interval training, some weights and box jumps.
Home time! And good luck to dani-wok on your lent! Very admirable sacrifice for the 40 days :) and yay! I get to see dani-wok tmr for lunch! ^^

Jugo'd Up - Day 7
In Spanish, "jugo" means juice. And I enjoyed a delicious Tropical Protein this afternoon. It was a great save since I was sticking to my giving up "treats" for 40 days and nights. Jugo Juice will be my go-to at work if I ever forget my healthy stuff in the fridge like I did today. So Jugo Juice is 'Juice Juice.' Alright then!
